Zurich Insurance Targets Marine Cargo Market

As part of a drive to become a leading player in the marine cargo environment Zurich Insurance has taken on 6 new members of staff to ensure they have all the resources needed to make it a success.
The division for marine cargo is a relatively new one for Zurich Insurance, hence the bringing in of expertise in the shape of knowledgeable and experienced staff, all of whom have come from CNA. The new Zurich team will have offices in London, Leeds and Birmingham, from where they will be tasked with developing the business. The initial team will also be added to as the sector develops for Zurich Insurance, with new staff being brought in as business dictates.
Currently Zurich Insurance has a marine business worth almost GBP350 million, a large percentage of which is cargo based. It will be interesting to see by how much this figure has grown in twelve months.
