New Appointment At Zurich Insurance

Zurich Financial Services Group, of which Zurich Insurance is one of the best known elements, has appointed Axel Lehmann as chief risk officer, commencing January 1 2008.
Mr Lehmann brings a great deal of operational experience with him to the new role and it is this experience that gives him the ability to deal with the new position. The chief risk officer position is of group executive committee status and so needs a man of this calibre to fill the role properly.
Zurich Insurance and the Zurich Financial Services Group have appointed Mr Lehmann with responsibility for group IT, transforming the operational set up at Zurich and also enabling growth to occur. Clearly then this is a role that is critical to the future success of Zurich Insurance and as such will be closely monitored throughout.
