Sainsburys Bank Advise Travel Insurance Essential For Easter Trips

Published: 02/10/08

In a new study carried out by Sainsburys Bank it appears that around 10 percent of Easter holidaymakers could be heading off on their journeys without travel insurance. The research found that over 4 million people did not have travel insurance the last time they went abroad.

The facts that Sainsburys Bank would like to get across to anyone travelling abroad are that they are going out totally unprotected, so should anything happen to them they have to deal with the costs and administration themselves. Simple things like losing money, documents or luggage for example are common occurrences, but without travel insurance in place they would have no support to deal with and recover these losses.

More serious issues such as injury whilst abroad are on a different level. In these circumstances Sainsburys Bank see travel insurance as quite literally a life saver. The cost of an air ambulance say or even simple medical treatment in some countries is prohibitively expensive without travel insurance in place.
